This is my vision of Icarus from Cirque du Soleil's Varekai show - holding the hand of his lover, La Promise.

It's also a tribute to the Russian aerial artist who was the first to play Icarus' role: Anton Chelnokov.
His acrobatic and artistic performance stuns me every time I watch him. It's a pity I haven't had the chance to see him irl yet but I hope to some day. ^^ And also Varekai as well, even if Anton is not in the show anymore (I think he's in Zumanity now?).

Olga Pikhienko, the girl who plays La Promise (the caterpillar) also delivers a breathtaking performance. My Russian heritage is boasting with pride. =w=b

Btw, the soundtrack of Varekai? Pure gold. I can't stop listening to it. *-*;;

So I've had this pic's link saved in a file from what must have been FOREVER ago. I just came across it again today and I'm really glad that I can Fave it now on DA. <3 I've always admired the coloring. The eyes,lips, face, and hands, all of it, are done just fabulously. vuv <333
