COPIC marker tutorial by luleiya COPIC marker tutorial by luleiya
Well here it is, my Copic tutorial for all of you who'd been asking for one over the years~!

Actually, this is over a year old (which explains why I don't like the picture anymore =______=;;;; but that's besides the point)...
This has been done for a Hungarian tutorial book project which fell through in the end so I've decided to put it together and share it with the community here to at least have some use for it if I went through the trouble of making it in the first place. orz Making a tutorial about traditional tools is messy, I'm never doing this again. @A@;;;;

I just hope it helps you guys! >_< :heart:
For any further questions about lineart and such please read my FAQ! [link]

'Don't like the picture anymore'

I would give a leg to be able to output art of that quality on a regular basis.

This is a GREAT tutorial! Thank you so much for posting it! Do you have any advice on inking lines? I always get baffled as to which color I want to use and where to change it throughout the piece. I really like how you add hints of an outline in your work (like the hands) without it being like "HEY I AM A BOLD OUTLINE!"

Can you talk about how you make the decisions about your outline? I tried to go to your FAQ, but it was a dead link- has it been moved?

But how can you make such fine white lines in her hair though? I can see how the dots are created with type-ex but the fine lines would be a mess, right?

That's a very cool tutorial! I especially like how you use white-out to make speckles on the picture. The colors are lovely and really go well together!!

but still i would like to ask you something, what is the main difference between copic markers and copic ciao? thanks :3

Copic Markers and Ciao markers are two different markers in the copic family. Copics are square shaped and larger than the Ciao markers. Ciao markers are round and they are smaller in size. The amount of color avaliability differs as well.

www.copic.com might help as well
